Three Cheap and Easy Recipes
A family favorite!
Pigs in a blanket
What you need: croissant dough and hot dogs
Start by unrolling your dough into a flat sheet. Then cut your hot dogs into bite size nuggets. Take the nuggets and roll them into slivers of the dough. Take the rolled dogs and place them evenly spaced on a baking tray lined with cooking oil. Optional: beat an egg and brush it across your piggies then sprinkle coarse kosher salt on them. Place on the center rack at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Mac and cheese
What you need: your choice of pasta and cheese
Start by boiling your pasta for the specified amount of time on the box. While it is boiling, shred your cheese if you bought a block. When the pasta is al dente, drain it but not completely. Leave a little water in there to provide moisture for the cheese. Speaking of cheese, in the same pot you boiled your pasta in, slowly start to mix your cheese in. Add the cheese slowly, wait for it to melt before you add more. If it gets too stringy, add some milk to loosen it up. Once everything is mixed, you’re ready to plate.

Potato chips
Now this one is unorthodox.
What you need: a potato and vegetable oil
Start by slicing your potato into the thinnest slices you can get. Take those slices and place them into a ziplock bag with your vegetable oil. In that bag, massage and cover your slices with the oil completely. Then place on a microwave safe plate lined with cooking oil. Put in the microwave for 5-7 minute or until browned. Once done, salt to taste and enjoy.
