The Kulkarni Theatre is gearing up to put on shows and events for this academic year. The theatre seats a total of 355 people and stands as one of the most technologically advanced college theaters in the region. 

The theatre has hosted numerous events which ranged from lectures, films, seminars, dance, music, concerts, and live theater. The theatre also hosts the The Kulkarni Cultural Series, which features a selection of performing arts events that are professional both national and international throughout each semester. The Pasion y Arte Flamenco Dance Company will be performing on Thursday October 13 at 7:30pm with their unique contemporary and feminist take on the Flamenco dance. WVL Radio will also bring their production of It’s A Wonderful Life: Live From WVL Radio Theatre to Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday November 30 at 7:30pm. The production is done in a radio theatre style, showcasing a look at how radio dramas were produced in the 1940s.

Penn State Harrisburg’s Diversity Educational Equity Committee is hosting a special event called Are You Okay? with Kati Morton. Kati Morton is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 1 million subscribers on YouTube. At this event, Kati will be giving a discussion on mental health as well as a Q&A session. This event will be held on October 20th at 7:00pm.

 The theatre department will also put on a production this semester. This semester, theatre students will be performing Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Performances are November 2, 3 and 4 at 7:30pm and November 5 at 2:00 and 7:30pm.
