As intramural flag football ran out, intramural bowling rolled in. The intramural bowling season included a total of twelve teams. In the Blue Division the teams were Shangai Sharks, Space Balls, CNBT BA, Fellas in Paris, Dirty Ducks and Gutter Dusters. In the White Division the teams were Bowl Job, 3 Holes 4 Guys, We Got Balls, Pin Me Down, @Rooms-308 on IG, Mt. Turkey and Gordon Rams Me.

After four teams from the blue division and five teams from the white division were eliminated, it came down to the playoff rounds. Blue division team Space Balls went up against white division team Bowl Job. Space Balls team members bowled scores of 142, 88, 93 and 139, finishing with a total of 462. Bowl Job’s team members bowled scores of 106, 161, 105 and 200, ending with a total of 572, winning the round and advancing to the finals.

The next playoff round was blue division team Shangai Sharks against white division team 3 Holes 4 Guys. Shanghai Sharks team members finished with scores of 125, 102, 101 and 136, totaling to 464. 3 Holes 4 Guys bowled to scores of 140, 123, 103 and 142, totaling 508 and sending them to the finals.

It then came down to the championship round. It was white division teams Bowl Job v. 3 Holes 4 Guys. 3 Holes 4 Guys members impressed with scores of 166, 161, 104 and 116, adding up to 547. Bowl Job’s members bowled total scores of 64, 196, 140 and 234, making their total 634. Bowl Job won the round and were crowned champions for the intramural bowling season.

Bowl Job captain Andrew Schrek was happy about his team’s victory for the championship.

“It was so much fun, I got my personal best in bowling. As a team we came here an hour before and we bowled for fun,” Schrek said.

“It was a great time and we put in a lot of work to win this,” he added.

Intramural bowling advisor and notable local pro bowler Darryl Bower was satisfied with how the season went.

“It was a great season. This year had twelve teams participate in the fall. It went well. For a lot of bowlers, it was their first year bowling so I saw improvement throughout the year and saw some great scores from this last match,” Bower described.

“A lot of the ones that just started off bowling gives them a lifetime sport that they can continue on throughout their years,” he continued.

Following the conclusion of bowling, the final intramural sport of the season will be dodgeball.
