“It went pretty well…I [just] needed it. It’s been a while for me. Actually, I haven’t been practicing for the last year,” Elsout said.
“I broke my wrist so this is my first time going back but I should have definitely practiced this a little bit more, but it went really well,” he continued.
After table tennis concluded, badminton began its playoff matches. In the quarterfinals 4 matches were played and 4 of the 8 players advanced to the semifinals. In an early morning battle GGBond triumphed and was the champion for the intramural badminton season. Hoachen Huang, who played as GGBond, was pleased with his path to victory.
“It’s the first time I play[ed] abroad and it’s the first time I [won] the championship. During the game, I felt, like, angry for a bit. I didn’t think I played very well during the game,” Haung stated.
Intramural volleyball was the next sport to kick off its matches following the conclusion of table tennis and badminton.
