Penn State Harrisburg’s spring intramural season began with wiffleball. The season consisted of a total of eight teams. Burg Daycare, Kickin’ It, Dirty Ducks, Abusement Park, Burg Puck, The Slammerzz, Free Agents, and Stuck on First were the teams who participated.
The season opener began with teams Burg Daycare v. Dirty Ducks and Kickin’ It v. Abusement Park. Burg Daycare and Kickin’ It secured wins with scores 8-2 and 5-1. Week 2 had teams Burg Puck v. Free Agents, The Slammerzz v. Stuck on First, Burg Daycare v. Kickin’ It and The Slammerzz v. Dirty Ducks. Teams Burg Puck, Stuck on First, Burg Daycare and Kickin’ It secured wins with scores 11-4, 2-10, 9-4 and 4-0.
In the semifinals, teams Free Agents and Stuck on First battled it out and Burg Puck and Abusement Park competed for the win. Burg Daycare and Burg Puck advanced to the championships. Burg Daycare secured the win from Burg Puck with a score of 10-2 and were named the champions of the intramural wiffleball season.
Burg Daycare Captain Garry Beck was excited about the team’s win.
“It was really fun…It honestly feels good because the team that I played with last year we lost in the championship…It feels good. I’m really excited that we won,” Beck stated.
Once wiffleball was finished, intramural kickball was next up for their championship.
