Despite ongoing challenges stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been some refreshingly positive developments coming from the food services team at Penn State Harrisburg: the arrival of new members. In two separate announcements, Penn State Harrisburg’s Housing and Food Services Director Craig A. Cook welcomed two new members to the team. One of these new members, Paige Willauer, was welcomed by Cook as the new Assistant Director of Housing and Food Services at Penn State Harrisburg. Willauer did not respond to a request for comment, but Housing and Food Services Director Craig A. Cook put out an email welcoming her to the food services team on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

In his statement, Cook began by proclaiming, “it is my pleasure to announce that Paige Willauer has accepted the position as our new Assistant Director, Housing and Food Services at Penn State Harrisburg.” Cook continues, “Paige comes to us from UPMC Pinnacle Community Osteopathic (Aramark), where she was responsible for the supervision, training and management of the food service operation.” Willauer also worked in the food service operations for “T-Mobile Park in Seattle, WA, the Long Island Ducks in Central Islip, NY, RFK Stadium in Washington D.C., and FedEx Field in Landover, MD, to name a few.” Cook then transitioned to discussing Paige’s educational background. “Paige is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University where she earned her BS Degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management,” Cook added. She began her new role on January 10, 2022, which was the first day of the Spring 2022 semester. Students can reach Paige Willauer via phone at 717-948-6241 or via email at [email protected]

In addition to Willauer, Penn State Harrisburg’s Craig A. Cook also announced another new addition to the team, Claudio Tarallo as the new Manager of Housing and Food Services. Prior to the start of the Spring 2022 semester, Cook announced the hiring of Tarallo in December 2021. “Claudio comes to us from Maison Kayser in New York City, where he most recently served as Operations Manager, Commissary and Logistics. His previous experience also includes positions with The Amsterdam at Harborside (Port Washington, NY), Pret A Manager (New York, NY), Le Pain Quotidien (New York, NY) and New York Presbyterian Hospital (New York, NY). Claudio is a graduate of The Culinary Arts Institute of America (Hyde Park, NY), where he received his A.O.S Culinary Arts Degree,” Cook said in his statement. Claudio Tarallo began his tenure in his new role on January 3, 2022. He can be reached via phone at 717-948-6241 or via email at [email protected] with any questions or concerns.

The Penn State Harrisburg community is asked to make Paige and Claudio feel welcome as they adjust to their new positions. The food service offices can be found in the Olmsted Building in E122 in the hallway behind Stacks Market. Craig A. Cook, Paige Willauer, and Claudio Tarallo can all be reached in person in their respective offices. For more information regarding the food services, visit http://www.liveon.psu.edu/harrisburg
